Summary

Background
We applied for this project to address the growing need for digital skills and entrepreneurship training among unemployed youth, disadvantaged groups and young professionals facing barriers to the labour market. As the digital economy expands, many young people lack the skills to participate in online business creation and digital employment opportunities. Traditional education and training programmes often fail to provide practical, accessible and business-oriented digital skills development. The DigEnYou project aims to fill this gap by providing structured learning modules, an interactive e-learning platform and a validated training methodology. By equipping young people with technical digital skills and transversal competences, the project aimed to increase employability, foster entrepreneurship and promote economic inclusion. The initiative also responded to the need for accessible, self-paced learning, ensuring that young people from rural, low-income or disadvantaged backgrounds could acquire relevant skills for the digital labour market.

Objectives
The DigEnYou project aimed to empower young people by equipping them with digital and entrepreneurial skills essential for the modern labour market. The main objective was to bridge the gap between the demand for digital skills and the employability of young people, ensuring that unemployed, disadvantaged and low-skilled young people have access to high quality, structured training in digital entrepreneurship. In implementing the project, we sought to develop an innovative learning methodology, create a comprehensive curriculum and establish an interactive e- learning platform that would provide self-paced and accessible training. Through structured learning modules, we aimed to increase digital literacy, promote entrepreneurial thinking and encourage economic participation. We also wanted to equip trainers and youth workers with tools to effectively support young learners. The project also focused on scalability and sustainability, ensuring that the resources developed could be widely adopted and used beyond the consortium.

Implementation
The DigEnYou project was implemented through a series of structured activities to ensure the development of high quality digital entrepreneurship training. We conducted best practice research and needs analysis (WP2) to define key digital skills and training methodologies. Based on these findings, we developed the DigEnYou curriculum and learning modules (WP3), including pedagogical approaches, assessment tools and structured content. We designed and tested a training methodology (WP4) to ensure practical application through pilot sessions involving trainers and young learners. This allowed us to refine the content based on feedback from the field. A key achievement was the development of an interactive e-learning platform (WP5), integrating all training materials into an accessible and scalable digital environment. In addition, we engaged in continuous evaluation and dissemination, ensuring that the outcomes of the project were widely shared with youth organisations, VET institutions and policy makers, maximising its long-term impact and sustainability.

Results
The DigEnYou project delivered concrete outputs that support digital upskilling and entrepreneurship for young people. The key result was the DigEnYou e-learning platform, which hosts an interactive Learning Management System (LMS) containing structured training modules on digital skills and business competencies. Additionally, the project produced a comprehensive curriculum outlining pedagogical approaches, assessment tools, and teaching methodologies. A training methodology was developed and tested through pilot sessions, ensuring its relevance and usability. Research findings from WP2 resulted in national and transnational reports on digital skill gaps, labor market needs, and best practices. Beyond tangible outputs, the project increased youth employability, entrepreneurial readiness, and access to digital learning. Trainers and educators gained new tools to support digital education, while dissemination efforts expanded the project’s reach to youth organizations, VET institutions, and policymakers, ensuring long-term impact.
