EU Citizenship, EU Awareness And Democracy; Youth (Participation, Youth Work, Youth Policy); Labour Market Issues Incl. Career Guidance / Youth Unemployment
Objectives The project strengthens the skills and competences of young people in Samsun and nearby cities, especially those with disadvantaged backgrounds. It increases their cultural awareness by giving them the chance to experience life in another country. Participants apply the knowledge gained through volunteering to different areas of their lives and serve as examples for other young people. Since many disadvantaged youth have never been abroad, the project supports their inclusion and raises their European awareness.
Implementation The project informed young people about Voluntary Service opportunities and enabled both long- and short-term volunteering in NGOs in Spain, the Russian Federation, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Activities provided non-formal learning experiences focused on cultural understanding, community engagement, and gaining new social and personal skills.
Results Participants became more active in society, improved their integration into local communities, developed solidarity, and gained stronger intercultural awareness. The project supported the development of local communities and encouraged cooperation among organisations. It also helped partners exchange experiences and good practices at the European level.
