Labour Market Issues Incl. Career Guidance / Youth Unemployment; Youth (Participation, Youth Work, Youth Policy); EU Citizenship, EU Awareness And Democracy
Objectives The project develops the abilities and skills of young people from Hungary and Austria, with priority for those from disadvantaged backgrounds. It supports their cultural awareness, social cohesion, and ability to live in diverse environments. Participants gain knowledge they can apply throughout life and become role models for peers. Because many disadvantaged young people lack access to other cultures, the project offers them the chance to experience Turkish culture directly through an EVS mobility in Samsun.
Implementation The project runs for 24 months and hosts six volunteers who take part in activities within the organisation and local schools in Samsun. The focus is intercultural learning, community engagement, and non-formal education. Volunteers gain structured support, daily involvement in local activities, and opportunities to reflect on learning outcomes.
Results Young people strengthen their integration, active participation, and employability. Local communities benefit from volunteer engagement, while organisations expand cooperation through new partnerships and shared good practices. The project aligns with European Voluntary Service principles and contributes to long-term social inclusion.
