Background
The consortium identified clear gaps in youth work practices, especially in reaching disadvantaged young people from rural, social, and cultural disadvantage. The project focused on reducing structural and cultural barriers and equipping youth workers with skills to deliver more inclusive and effective youth work. Inno4Impact created resources and tools to strengthen the social impact of youth work, support institutions, and ensure long-term sustainability.
Objectives
The project aimed to equip youth workers with competences relevant for supporting young people from rural areas. Key areas included life-world-oriented youth work, self-motivation, conflict management, communication techniques, diversity management, Erasmus+ youth opportunities, safeguarding, emotional intelligence, intercultural learning, and assessment of youth progress. Learning tools were designed for transfer into daily practice. The project also engaged decision makers and public institutions to raise awareness of rural youth needs and encourage cooperation.
Implementation
The consortium produced five intellectual outputs introducing new youth-work methodology. Partners carried out national activities and piloted learning tools developed in IO2 and IO4. Two short-term staff trainings were held in Austria and Spain, covering youth policies, disadvantaged-youth competences, practical tools, Erasmus+ opportunities, needs assessment, and evaluation methods. IO5 produced a project guideline summarising methods, tools, and piloting results.
Results
Outputs include: one needs-analysis report, one curriculum for face-to-face training, one guideline for methodological inclusion, one online training course with five modules, six newsletters, a project website, 17 training videos, one project brochure, and a Facebook page for dissemination. Two international trainings improved youth workers’ skills. Each partner organised a multiplier event and produced five activity reports. All materials are available in partner languages and downloadable for final users.
