Objectives The association works to promote the social, cultural and professional inclusion of migrants and to support young people in Tirol in becoming active European citizens. The project aimed to strengthen young volunteers’ self-confidence, broaden their intercultural understanding and enable them to act as role models in their communities. Volunteers were encouraged to learn the local language, understand the host culture and share their own cultural backgrounds, reinforcing mutual exchange and inclusion.
Implementation The organisation provided a wide educational framework through its Migration Academy, Media Workstation, multilingual counselling services and specialised programmes for young migrants. Volunteers participated in language courses, intercultural trainings, media workshops, mentoring activities and youth-focused counselling programmes. They were involved in daily organisational work, interacted with local communities and contributed to cultural and educational activities. Cooperation with European partners ensured structured learning and continuous support.
Results The project increased volunteers’ cultural awareness, communication skills and confidence in engaging with diverse groups. It strengthened their sense of European citizenship and enhanced their ability to contribute actively to community life. The association expanded its intercultural exchange practices and reinforced its international partnerships. Young participants became better equipped to navigate the host society, while also sharing their own linguistic and cultural heritage, supporting long-term inclusion and mutual understanding.
