Objectives
The project supports the fast and effective inclusion of refugee families in host societies across Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, Austria, and Sweden. It develops a holistic package of tools, best-practice guidelines, and training curricula for trainers, volunteers, and refugee families. A core aim is to strengthen L2 learning and essential integration knowledge through mother-and-child activities. The project also improves service provision by preparing volunteers and organisations to work more competently with refugee families.
Implementation
The partnership created an online tool tailored to regional needs, especially where no comparable tools existed. Training modules targeted women and children with combined language and daily-life learning. Additional trainings prepared trainers and volunteers, supported by a guide for organisations on volunteer preparation. The online platform provided practical information on local services, orientation to administrative systems, and integration-relevant topics such as health, education, and labour-market access. The consortium worked across diverse migration contexts, including major transit and reception points in Europe and Türkiye.
Results
The project produced a complete set of digital and pedagogical tools to support refugee integration. Families gained structured support for L2 learning and essential knowledge for daily life in the host country. Trainers and volunteers improved their readiness and skills, raising the quality of service provision. Organisations received guidance to strengthen volunteer preparation. The combined impact increased the speed and quality of refugee inclusion and contributed to more coherent integration support across the participating countries.
