Summary

Background
The partners already identified prior to the project the two best practices of Basic Education and Tandem Mentoring. These were combined in the project to produce a larger multi-aspect approach blending formal and informal learning as well as mentoring to support organisations in migrant education with facilitating the integration of low-skilled migrants and refugees into the regular educational system and for them to partake in the host country's society at large.

Objectives
The project aimed at taking the two methods, gauging adaptation needs and draft training curricula that allow partners to train educators and migrant mentors in the methods of the 3STEPS project. The training curricula have to be suitable for the context of the participants, as well as focus on the aspects which are key to the approach.Furthermore, a network needed to be established, in order to allow trainers and mentors to exchange experiences, reflect and coordinate efforts.

Implementation
Following an initial investigation of adaptation needs, 3 curricula were drawn up. These were piloted each with 30h, 12h and 26h courses for trainers, mentors and young migrants respectively. These pilot courses provided feedback for the finalisation of the curricula. For the networking, a strategy was drawn up, partners then identified and reached out to potentially interested organisations and the network was established to promote coordination and sustainability of the project results.

Results
The project produced the following results:-Adaptation Report, detailing the changes needed in each country-Curricula for Trainers, Mentors and Young Migrants with 30h, 12h and 26h of piloting respectively.-Policy Brief, providing recommendations for policy makers to implement the 3STEPS methodologies and its benefits for migrant education-national multipliers in each country and one final conference in Strasbourg to promote the project.
