Summary

Objectives
The project strengthened the skills and competences of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, and supported participation in democratic life. It addressed the lack of information about EU values, equal opportunities, European citizenship, and participatory democracy. Volunteers from Spain, Portugal, Italy, Armenia, and Turkey were expected, but eight young people from Turkey, Armenia, and Spain ultimately joined the mobility. They learned democratic values while volunteering with children, youth with special needs, and young people whose parents work abroad.

Implementation
Volunteers carried out activities in Braila kindergartens and local institutions, working with children aged 2–6, young people with disabilities, and youth lacking family support. They also engaged in intercultural exchange, learned Romanian basics, and took part in community events. Summer Kindergarten activities and workshops strengthened both their practical skills and their understanding of inclusion. Local partnerships provided the structure for preparation, implementation, and monitoring.

Results
Volunteers developed individual and professional skills, documented through Youthpass and certificates. The community gained a more positive perception of volunteering due to the volunteers’ visibility and engagement. Partner organisations improved their project-management capacity, strengthened cooperation, and enhanced long-term planning. The project increased active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and solidarity among all partners and participants.
