Objectives
The project supported the social, cultural, and personal development of young people with fewer opportunities through the Erasmus+ DiscoverEU Inclusion Action. It promoted active participation, intercultural learning, and self-confidence. Many participants travelled abroad for the first time, gained independence, broadened their perspectives, and took an active role in planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Implementation
28 young people joined DiscoverEU Inclusion mobilities in Austria, Germany, and Spain across five periods between April–July 2024 and February 2025. Six travel groups were formed with group leaders. Preparatory sessions covered travel, culture, digital tools, safety, and sustainability, supported by individual mentoring and Youthpass goal-setting. All participants were 18 and came from backgrounds with limited opportunities, including rural areas and socio-economic obstacles.
Results
All 28 participants received a Youthpass certificate and reported increased self-confidence and motivation. They produced travel reports and shared their experiences with peers and communities. Mozaik strengthened its capacity to work with disadvantaged youth, improved local cooperation, and increased visibility through digital and local media. Interest in European opportunities grew among rural youth, and returning participants supported peer learning, contributing to stronger social participation and solidarity.
